Acne Treatment

Day Medical Salon has Isolaz, the revolutionary pore cleansing and acne treatment laser. ISOLAZ by Solta Medical, is the only FDA approved laser to treat active cystic acne. ISOLAZ works by pneumatic action. The suctioning removes debris and sebaceous plugs from the pores. A blue light is then delivered which is the wavelength which is absorbed by the acne bacteria. Red light is added which has been shown to reduce inflammation.

What is Acne?

Acne Vulgaris is the actual microorganism that is involved in acne. Acne is multifactorial. People that are susceptible to acne have a proliferation of sebaceous glands or oil glands in the skin. These glands are most commonly found on the face and back. The oil glands and ducts are triggered by hormonal factors to overproduce sebum. This results in plugging of the pore. The plug feeds the acne bacteria.

What can I expect from the ISOLAZ treatment?

Results start to visibly show after about the third treatment. ISOLAZ takes a series of six treatments to complete. The treatments last about thirty minutes. You may not visibly see a change on the first treatment but you feel the difference. ISOLAZ provides a substantial reduction in acne breakout after the completion of the series.

Is there any downtime with the ISOLAZ acne treatments?

ISOLAZ is a gentle laser procedure. There is no downtime. ISOLAZ is so quick it can even be done during your lunch time.

Will ISOLAZ cure acne?

To this day, there is no cure for acne. Due to the multifactorial nature of the disease, acne must be approached from different angles. ISOLAZ is the only FDA approved laser to treat the active outbreaks of acne through pore cleansing, acne bacteria destruction with blue light and finally calming the inflammatory response with red light.

ISOLAZ allows you to take control of your acne. Call Dr. Day today to schedule an appointment to discuss ISOLAZ or feel free to request an appointment online.
