How does the Isolaz work?
The Isolaz treatment starts with a vacuum that sucks up sebum and other acne-causing oils. Then, a blue pulse light laser takes over, killing the underlying bacteria that causes acne – while also closing pores and reducing brown spots, redness, raised bumps and other skin issues.

Is the Isolaz cleared by the FDA?
Yes. In fact, the Isolaz is the only system FDA cleared to treat pustular and comedonal acne, as well as mild to moderate and acne vulgaris. Isolaz is also FDA cleared to treat benign vascular and pigmented lesions and to perform permanent hair reduction.

Is the treatment painful?

How long is an Isolaz treatment?
It depends on what is being treated. Treatments on the face may take as little as 10 minutes.

Will I have sensitivity to light following my Isolaz treatment?
Unlike other treatments, the Isolaz system does not cause sensitivity to light.

How many treatments will I need?
Four treatments are generally needed to see desired results. However, the exact number of treatments varies from patient to patient.

Will I still need to use topicals or other medication?
Depending on the severity and type of condition, Dr. Day may also prescribe a companion topical treatment to increase the effectiveness of your overall treatment regimen.

Are there any side effects?
Potential side effects can include skin discoloration, crusting and swelling of the affected areas. However, side effects are fairly uncommon and minor in most cases.
