How does it work?
The CoolLipo method uses a special laser to liquefy and remove fat, while tightening skin from the inside out by directly targeting collagen and connective tissue. CoolLipo's unique 1320 wavelength laser won't allow the skin to burn like other laser lipo systems. It also won’t change the pigment of skin.
How long does the treatment take?
Small to large pockets of fat can be “melted” in 30 minutes to an hour during the in-office procedure. CoolLipo can literally be done during a lunch hour.
When will I notice results?
Results should be apparent about a week after the procedure. Smoothing and tightening of the skin will continue for two to six months following.
Will it be painful?
Because the patient is under local anesthesia, the area will be numb. Most people don’t feel pain during the procedure.
What are the side effects?
CoolLipo typically results in minimal, if any, bruising. No stitches are needed to close the tube insertion and it will heal in days. You can safely drive yourself home after the procedure.
Do I have to wear a compression garment?
Most patients wear the garment from 48 hours to up to two weeks following the procedure.
